As part of the OhioLINK library consortium, the Thorne Library has replaced our library system to enhance library services and operations. OhioLINK received funding through the Ohio Department of Higher Education for the consortium-wide migration. Through a competitive RFP process, OhioLINK selected Ex Libris Alma/Primo VE as its next shared library services platform (LSP), which brings OhioLINK libraries to the most widely-used library system in academic and research libraries.
This library services platform upgrade positions the library to support 21st century teaching, learning, and research, streamline day-to-day operations, and enhance stability and security. The cloud-based, multi-tenant structure also enables OhioLINK to provide more direct support for member libraries in such areas as systems and e-resources. The consortium is now live on the new system as of July 2025.
